Cliff Burton recorded three studio albums with Metallica: "Kill'Em All" (1983), "Ride the Lightning" (1984), and "..And Justice for All" (1988). "Kill'Em All" marked the band's debut and showcased Burton's exceptional bass playing skills. Sadly, Burton tragically passed away in a bus accident during the band's European tour in 1986, before the release of "..And Justice for All."
