The Baron Pierre de Coubertin was the president of the International Olympic Committee for the 1908 Olympic Games. He was a French educator and historian who is credited with reviving the Olympic Games in 1896. He was also the founder of the International Olympic Committee in 1894. The 1908 Olympic Games were held in London, England, and were the first Olympic Games to be held outside of Greece.
