Answer
Aeneas Silvius Piccolomini, later Pope Pius II, was the author of a treatise on the upbringing of Ladislaus V, King of Bohemia and Hungary. Piccolomini was a close friend of the king's father, Matthias Corvinus, and served as his chancellor from 1469 to 1472. In his treatise, Piccolomini argued that Ladislaus should be educated in the humanities and in the arts of war and government.
