Answer
Homi Jehangir Bhabha was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Physics a total of three times, in 1948, 1949 and 1956. The Nobel Committee for Physics did not award a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1948 or 1949. Bhabha was nominated again in 1956, but the Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to William Shockley, John Bardeen and Walter Brattain for their work on the transistor.
