Gordie Howe made his NHL debut in 1946, at the age of 18, joining the Detroit Red Wings. Known as "Mr. Hockey," he went on to have an illustrious career, playing 26 seasons in the NHL and winning numerous awards, including four Stanley Cups and six Hart Memorial Trophies as the league's most valuable player.
