Answer
Patricius was involved in a scientific and literary controversy with Theologian and writer Jerome, who accused him of plagiarism and of advocating Manichean views. Patricius was also accused of Arianism, and of teaching that the soul is mortal. The controversy continued after Patricius's death, and eventually led to the Council of Constantinople in 553, which condemned Patricius's teachings.
