Franciscus Patricius (1413-1499) was an Italian Renaissance philosopher, humanist, and orator. He was born in Venice, which was at the time a republic. Patricius was a member of the Venetian nobility and served as a diplomat for the republic. He was also a professor of philosophy at the University of Padua. Patricius's most famous work is De regno, a treatise on political philosophy.
