Emile Francis was a Canadian professional ice hockey executive and coach. He played in the National Hockey League as a goaltender for the Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings. Francis was general manager of the New York Rangers for 34 seasons and won the Stanley Cup with them in 1994. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1991.
