Saul Gilbert and Ruth Michelly directed the 1957 film, Les têtes interverties, which was a surrealist short film about a man who has his head surgically removed from his body and put on a different body. The film was one of Jodorowsky's first projects and it helped to launch his career as a filmmaker.
