Aafia Siddiqui was a Pakistani neuroscientist who moved to the United States for her studies in 1990. She was a Fulbright Scholar at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts from 1991 to 1993, where she studied neuroscience and worked in the laboratory of Charles Epstein. After completing her degree at Brandeis, she moved to the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied for a Ph.D. in neuroscience.
